Exhaust air technology.
Ventilation technology.
One system.

Zero Emissions at the workplace and throughout the entire hall. This is the claim of Kappa A.I.R.™

  • for clean air in the hall
  • for efficient employees
  • for optimum production quality
  • for more energy efficiency
  • for low total costs

Kappa A.I.R.™ combines exhaust air technology and ventilation technology in one system.
THIS IS UNIQUE.

Kappa A.I.R.™ actively reduces exposure to emissions and heat in the workplace and ensures clean air throughout the entire hall.

Kappa A.I.R.™ is more economical and efficient than conventional indoor air cleaning.

Air quality in halls:

Kappa A.I.R.™ provides ventilation and extraction, captures and separates emissions, purifies the hall air and recovers energy from the waste heat. If required, Kappa A.I.R.™ heats, cools or humidifies the hall. When planning, we take into account where work and production take place, where emissions occur and where heat and warmth are generated. This determines the dimensions of the facility and which functions it should be equipped with. In this way, the Kappa A.I.R.™ ensures maximum performance and energy efficiency.

Economic efficiency

A useful life of more than 15 years is assumed for ventilation systems. The investment costs only make up 25 per cent of the total costs, the rest is accounted for by the ongoing operating costs.

Kappa A.I.R.™ combines the functions of exhaust air and room air technology in one system. Synergies are utilised and negative mutual interference between individual components is prevented.

It reduces investment costs by up to 30 per cent and operating costs by up to 50 per cent compared to conventional stand-alone solutions.

Efficient heating, cooling and air conditioning of industrial halls:

Similar to convective underfloor heating, Kappa A.I.R.™ ensures that the hall is heated or cooled evenly and comfortably. Heating and cooling is achieved by physical diffusion. It is similar to the sensation of a familiar underfloor heating system and does not require any installations in the foundation. This allows full flexibility for machine installation and machine foundations.

Fresh air

is introduced into the hall draught-free via Kappa DiffusorsTM which are placed on the floor. The clean air diffuses across the hall floor, flows around all obstacles and penetrates into all areas of the hall.

The fresh air does not mix with the polluted indoor air. This reduces the required air volume and all employees are permanently supplied with clean air. Emissions and waste heat are thus actively displaced from the work area. This reduces airborne emissions at the workplace considerably.

The fresh air pushes itself like a wedge under the emissions and waste heat. As a result, the mission-loaded hall air is displaced from the workstations and recreation areas to the hall ceilings.

There, the emissions and heat waste are detected by the Kappa COCTM inflow elements – over the entire area, regardless of the source of the emission – and are fed to the cleaning unit via channels. Doing so, the emissions are separated efficiently and effectively using state-of-the art technology. Depending on the emissions, different filter systems are used.

The separation efficiency of the filter systems is so high that in many cases the exhaust air can be recycled back into the hall in whole or in part. The highly efficient filtration of emissions makes it possible to recover the waste heat with a high degree of efficiency, and to use it for energy-efficient heating of the fresh air.

Results:

  • active removal of emissions and waste heat from the work area
  • clean halls
  • lower overall costs
