Kappa Airic® confirms excellent air quality in front of the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria Styria Campus

We are constantly working on improving air quality for industry: employees, residents and the environment also benefit from our systems. So far there is no internationally valid classification for air quality. Therefore, we have developed an innovative environmental measurement technology and our own mathematical model for the investigation of air quality.

We make this visible with the Kappa Airic® in Styria. The Airic® is an art installation - and even more. The sculpture is equipped with innovative Kappa environmental technology. The Airic® measures relevant air quality parameters such as dust, fine dust, ultra-fine dust, hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide as well as temperature and humidity. The Airic® performs a total of 4,800 measurements per minute.

The values are gradually condensed into an overall quality index, the Kappa Air Quality Index - AQI. It is based on a mathematical model that we developed ourselves, as there is as yet no internationally valid classification for air quality.

The results certify an excellent air quality of 89 percent on average for the year 2019 at the Airic® location.
