Hotel AVIVA protects guests and employees with Kappa Wavebionx® filter elements for ventilation units
Hotel AVIVA make friends****s in St. Stefan - Afiesl in the Mühlviertel, Upper Austria is one hotel that has implemented an exceptionally extensive and well-founded hygiene concept since the very beginning. New Kappa Wavebionix® virus filters have now also been installed in the hotel's ventilation system. The AVIVA is thus the first hotel to rely on virus-tested filters.
The Kappa Wavebionix® is the first ventilation filter in the world to be tested using live viruses. It removes 97.2% of all viruses and pathogens from indoor air. The effectiveness of the filters was tested by the Austrian Research Institute for Chemistry and Technology. To date, the filter has mainly been used in public facilities such as vaccination queues, banks and hospitals. Hotel AVIVA is now the first hotel in Austria to introduce Wavebionix® filters. The filter elements can be incorporated into existing ventilation systems without modification and turn them into protection systems against potential virus transmission. The big difference between these and conventional filters, which are only designed to protect appliances, is personal protection! Viruses, pollen and all bacteria are filtered out of the air. The risk of infection in Hotel AVIVA is thus reduced to an absolute minimum. The Wavebionix® was developed and produced by the Upper Austrian company Kappa Filter Systems GmbH. The company has been active in aerosol research and the field of virus filters for over 28 years. "We are very pleased to be the first hotel in Austria to receive the new virus filters, and particularly because they are made by an Austrian company," says Christian Grünbart, Managing Director of Hotel AVIVA.
